The Women Metronum Academy is both a festival and mentorship program hosted by the Metronum venue in Toulouse, France. It was created in response to the statistical observation that the access to a musical career and representation in festival is far less prevalent for solo feminine or non-binary artists than for their masculine counterpart.
This program aims at bringing tools, ressources and visibility to help emergent artists building up their live music show, gain experience to navigate the music industry more equally, and deliver they creative vision to the public through a 6 month residency with mentors and the festival as the grand finale.

I had the pleasure to create the visual identity, poster illustration and mural for the very first edition.

The poster illustration takes free inspiration from Saraswati, the Hindu goddess of music, creativity and education. The colorful waves symbolize the diffusion of the music, the amplification of singular voices and experiences, as well as the transmission of knowledge between the mentors and mentorees.

During the festival, I was invited to paint the poster visual as a background mural for the DJ sets, and co-animated a workshop for the public to get said-visual screen-printed on-site with the color of their choice on postcards, tote-bags... and even their clothes!
